Blue Moon ~ Blackberry Tart Ale

I like most Blue Moon brews, yes I'll drink some with or without the orange wedge and no its not gay or stupid. This beer is a clean and nicely balanced beer with respect to the blackberry. Its not over powering at all but very good.

Style: Ale
Taste: Carbonation
Color: Dark amber
Aromatics: Clean with berry over tunes
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   5.8 % Fl. Oz.

Blackberry Tart Ale
The beer is one I had no problems enjoying in early fall. This one did site in a friends frig for a few months so I can't wait to try it in the summer of 2014. GO BEER...

Shock Top - Honeycrisp Apple Wheat

Fruit and apple at the nose of this beer. Its OK but not a beer for me this time of year. The month feel of this beer is so so, its got allot of carbonation to it but the apple flavors are not shy in breaking through it. Its not a cider and not a beer.

Style: Not a beer or cider....
Taste: Lots of fruit
Color: Light
Aromatics: Heavy fruity apple
Rating: 5 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   5.2 % Fl. Oz.

Honeycrisp Apple Wheat
I typically enjoy the brews from Shock Top. This one really would be reserved for the summer. If you do end up trying it, let me know what you think.

Du Claw ~ Sweet Baby Jesus

WOW - this beer has so much aroma it's crazy. The nose of it just hits you and its quickly apparent that you will LOVE this or not care for it and I have not even talked about the taste and flavors. I had one of these with a friend and we were both very happy with this brew.

Style: Porter
Taste: Deep dark roasted
Color: Very Dark
Aromatics: Roasted peanut and chocolate
Rating: 8 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   6.5 % Fl. Oz.

Sweet Baby Jesus
I really enjoyed this beer, although its a Porter with artificial flavors :(, It was super tasty and would have no problems sitting down to two of these. I will only add that this is not a late spring or summer style beer. I feel its too heavy for that and the flavors just don't play well in the heat.

Palm ~ Speciale Belge Ale

Very nice color to me, that's what hits me first - copper to light brown. great mouth feel light in the hops. Clean and well balanced beer. Its just a good everyday beer not bad but also not a wow. Palm is a brewery that owns a few Belgian beer company's some of which I have had and really enjoy and others I can't wait to try. Duvel is one that I am very fond of.

Style: Belgian Ale
Taste: Nice balance
Color: Light brown to deep gold
Aromatics: Wheat malt
Rating: 5 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4 - 5% Fl. Oz.

Speciale Belge Ale
I'm good with this beer but would most likely pickup something from the brewery other lines of beers to be honest. Its a good Belgian but not the best I have ever had. If you do pick this one up, let me know what you think? Happy Tasting. :')

Yuengling ~ Bock Beer

This is a pleasant tasting beer, not heavy as you may think. You get more mouth free during the finish of this beer. The initial tastes are mild in the beginning and build up a bit with a good tingling.

Style: Bock
Taste: Notes of roasty malt...at least to me
Color: Dark copper
Aromatics: Not heavy
Rating: 5 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4 - 5% Fl oz.

Bock Beer
This is a seasonal beer from Yuengling and was released in February, this is only the 2nd seasonal that I have picked up from them. The other was an Oktoberfest, which was SO FICKIN GOOD, I had to give this one a try. I do hope that they keep giving it a go with new seasonal cause as I have said in the past, I love this brewer. So enjoy one if you have the chance. :)

Sorry about the pour photo...I was enjoying this one at a friends house. I picked up a 6 pack ($12) and we all really liked this one. If you are into heavy and dark, then give this brew a try, I think you will be very happy you did. You best pick it up quick, cause they are not making this one any more.

Yuengling ~ Premium Beer

Let me start by saying I love Yuengling, why? Cause its a great beer at a great price. Its relatively local and not to mention the oldest brewery in America. To be fair its not the best beer, not the most flavorful, not the most aromatic.....So what is it....well, its a good tasting, well crafted and simple beer, its great any time.

Style: Lager
Taste: Crisp and clean
Color: Light amber
Aromatics: Clean and simple
Rating: 6 beer out to 10 Beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4 - 5 % range 12 Fl. Oz.

This brewery has been around since 1829, they are from Pottsville, PA and I recall local folks calling it Pottstown punch. In any event, this is one of those beers you can just have any time and almost anywhere. I would have no problem sitting down and downing a few of these babies after a long hard day of work. Cutting the lawn on a hot summer day, crack one...two...may be three open and Ahhhhhhh, its just one of those beers. please enjoy this one.

Du Claw ~ Naked Fish

This is a Chocolate raspberry stout and boy does it have flavor and great aromatics. I picked this up at the same time I picked up the other Du Claw I wrote about but did really have the time to sit and enjoy it until now.

Style: Stout
Taste: Chocolate with raspberry hints
Color: Dark
Aromatics: Full, the flavors are rich
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4.6% by 12 Fl oz.

Naked Fish
I really liked this one but at the same time I could only drink about 2 in a sitting due to the heavy nature of this beer and that for me is typical of heaver styles. The chocolate taste come alive a bit more as you let the beer sit a bit in your month, as for the raspberry it was at the finish and very nice it was. I felt this brew had a lot of body and enjoyable. Give it a try.
