Un-successful ShockTop mix :(

So I tried to give this a try.....

The plan was to mix, as the package pictured it the Shock Top Belgian White and the Chocolate Wheat which I tasted and reviewed. Well what a none mix I did. I will put one of the videos here but I am not proud of happy with any of it..Practice on all levels will be in order. back to school, in the mean time. Till the next Pint; Happy Tasting :)

Breckenridge ~ Vanilla Porter

This is a nice porter with a nice finish. I was expecting to pickup the vanilla but I personally did not which is not to say its bad, just the opposite. I found this to be a nice easy drinking brew with the slightest hint of hops. I think you'll enjoy this one.

Style: Ale
Taste: Mild
Color: Dark Amber
Aromatics: Super mild
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4 - 5 % range

Vanilla Porter
I have never had anything from this brewery until this tasty beer. I will have to keep an eye out but with so many different beers to try.....you know what I mean. As for Porters or Stouts; the time for me is almost closing this season. Bring on the Summer BEERS :). Until the next pint, Happy Tasting.

This week in the pursuit of good beer

So this week has been a little week, kinda. I tried to make the two Shock Tops into one layered drink but it did not work out so good. I'll post the three trials here but I wish I could have gotten a better result. Looks like more attempts will be in order. I did have and will be picking up another Shock Top brew. Lemon Shandy. It was a really nice beer had three tonight and did not want to write it up after such a drink fest lol ....

Yuengling ~ Summer Wheat

Wow, I was presently surprised by this brew. Nice job Yuengling. Lots of nose of this beer and a very nice finish. I enjoy the month feel on this beer and on a warm to hot day this beer pops well. I am picking up the clove and banana and its great. This is a really nice beer for this up coming summer and will be part of my list.

Style: Traditional Weizen
Taste: Flavorful with hints of banana
Color: Hazy Amber Gold
Aromatics: Banana is nice but light
Rating: 7 out of 10 Beer Glasses
Alcohol Content:   N/A but I believe around 4 - 5 % Fl. Oz.
Summer Wheat

What a really good beer. Till the next Pint; Happy Tasting.

Shock-Top ~ Belgian White

This is the second of the beers today that I was taking about. Its also a very nice and clean well balanced brew from Shock-top. I do like the beers these folks are brewing up.

Style: Belgian Wheat Ale
Taste: Light hits of citrus
Color: Amber with nice haze
Aromatics: Clean and light
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   5.2% Fl. Oz.

Belgian White
This is a great beer for the late spring early summer time. You can really sit down to this beer and just enjoy it. Its got very nice month feel too. I'll have to think more about what I want to pair it with. Anyway hope you enjoy...

Shock-Top ~ Chocolate Wheat

This going to be one of three post in the next few days because of how fun the beer was sold. Great marketing. This brewer, Shock-Top has been blowing up in the past years. They have a wide and growing selection of brews for light to dark, from ales to stouts, year round favorites to seasons you just can't wait for. Keep up the good work Shock-Top....

Style: Belgian Wheat Ale
Taste: Smooth and clean
Color: Black
Aromatics: Light coco
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4.3 % Fl. Oz.

Chocolate Wheat
I do like this one, its simple in terms of the flavors but well balanced. Again, and I have said this is the past, let the beer get closer to room temps and the aromatics and tastes will grow and show themselves. It has a nice and light month feel, what do I mean, well if you let the beer site and swirl a little in your month hole it tingles and you pickup more flavors it not over powering but pleasant and oh the coco on this one hits at the end and not in the front when you first drink it. So for now, hope you pick on up and drink it down. Enjoy...
