Wachusett ~ Blueberry

This brew is from Wachusett Brewing Co, Inc. in Westmister, Massachusetts. The brewery was founded in 1993 and they have been busy making good to great beers since. They list 2014 as their official 20th year anniversary so if your in the area I think it's a good point to say, give them a try and support micro brews !!

Style: Ale
Taste: Clean and crisp
Color: Light
Aromatics: Flowery
Rating: 5 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   4.5 % ABV

Blueberry

This is an average but tasty beer, I see my self enjoying this as a lawn motor brew. Its a good summer, light, crisp and clean beer that goes down very easy. With all that said its just not something super special, at least not in the winter when I am sitting here trying it. This blueberry is better than some that I have had to be fair. This is not a bitter beer so all you hop heads stay away, your not likely to like this one. Well till the next pint, happy tasting :)

Schofferhofer - Grapefruit

This is what they call a beer - Grapefruit Hefeweizen mix. It was started in Germany and they say was well received. I'll have to check into that statement.

Style: Hefeweizen
Taste: Crisp and full flavored
Color: Orange and hazy
Aromatics: Strong citrus / grapefruit
Rating: 8 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   2.5% ABV

Grapefruit

This one of my favorite beers for the HOT HOT summer, that said I am drinking and writing about this one in January because its been in the frig waiting.....:). This is a really flavorful and refreshing. As with any Hefeweizen you can expect a hazy look. This one also has sediment at the bottom of the bottle which should not cause you any alarm as its normal and fine. In my humble opinion, this is a great session beer for any hot day.

Mayflower Brewing Company - Porter

A little history about Mayflower brewery from my short visit. They are located at 12 Resnik Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360, USA. You can tour the place but I would check their web site to details. They were founded in 2007 in Plymouth, Mass by what they say is the Tenth Great grandson of John Alden....I would suggest if your interested to research that one, cause I don't know that guy...:) anyway. Its was a very cool little place with really good beer. As of this posting, they distribute to Mass., RI, NH, and Cont. with more states to follow. So if you are in any of those states in your summer travels, give them a try as I think you'll be happy with the taste.

Style: Porter
Taste: Smooth
Color: Dark / Black
Aromatics: Roasted
Rating: 7 out of 10 beer glasses
Alcohol Content:   5.2 % ABV
IBU’s if known: 34
Plato if known:

This is a really nice and smooth brew. Its just the right level of complex style and very well balanced beer. I think its perfect for this time of year when the chill in the air needs to be warmed up with a well made porter.
This beer is available year round. Well, till the next pint, happy tasting :)

Secret Stache Stout ~ Finch's Beer Co.

This is a 5.3% brew with deep heavy flavors. You can pickup the aroma of chocolate and what I sence as light vanilla notes. This is a good beer for this time of year and pairs well with a gutta cheese. Don't let the can pull you away from at least giving it a try
